Technical Description
An engraved 19th century glass carafe. The neck has a pulled pouring section and is engraved with foliage. This leads to a bulbous body engraved with ferns. The piece is complete with a polished base, an engraved hollow stopper and an applied handle.
Historical Relevance
Hand-blown around the time the USS Monitor, the US Navy's first ironclad warship was launched.
