Technical Description
An exceptionally rare Bohemian wine carafe with matching stand. Both pieces have been beautifully engraved and gilded with garlands of flowers.
To find a wine carafe with its matching stand is rare enough...to find an example in this colour, finely engraved and gilded with such detail...in almost perfect condition, is just about as rare s it gets. An outstanding piece which you won't find on any other web site.
Historical Relevance
Handcrafted around the time Richard Wagner's opera Lohengrin premiered in Weimar under the direction of Franz Liszt.
