Technical Description
A magnificent high quality Victorian cut glass decanter.
It has A hollow, slice cut spire stopper with a wide poring rim, Slice cut neck and shoulder with three hexagonal slice cut neck rings. Piller and flute cut body with star cut base.
Overall an excellent and quiet unusual examples.
Historical Relevance
Hand-blown around the time the first rugby international was played in Edinburgh, resulting in a 1–0 win by Scotland over England on the 27th of March 1871.
