Technical Description
A pair of 19th century green glass rummers. The large pan top bowls are supported by capstan stems. The stem rests upon a conical foot with a snapped pontil. Wine glasses in this colour are quite common, however, rummers in Bristol Green are very scarce. A fine pair of glasses which are very practical and can be used with ale or wine.
Historical Relevance
Hand-blown around the time of the 1861 United Kingdom census. The population was more than double that of 1801.
