Technical Description
A rare Anglo Irish 19th century amber glass rummer. The incurved bowl is decorated with vesica cuts. A slice cut stem with a central swelling knop. The foot is domed and slice cut with a star cut pontil. A very rare example.
Historical Relevance
Hand-blown around the time The Spanish Inquisition, which began in the 15th century, was suppressed by royal decree.
