Technical Description
Exclusively selected by Exhibit from the furnace shelves, a one-of-a-kind technical masterpiece from Michael J. Hunter, Twists Glass Studio.
A large contemporary glass bowl in wonderful shades of blue. A stunning studio glass piece incorporating an incalmo rim and foot, with a central 'Vetro Di Reticello' network.
Reticello is a type of blown glass made with canes organized in a crisscross pattern to form a fine net, which when done correctly, contain tiny air traps or bubbles.
Exhibit has been working with Mike & Sue for almost two years now and we can honestly say that when we saw this particular piece for the first time, we were astounded by his level of expertise and attention to detail..and his bravery. An incredibly difficult technique made to look simply perfect and we are honoured to be able to exhibit the piece on behalf of Mike.
Signed on the base by Michael J. Hunter.
