Technical Description
An 18th-century Balustroid stem wine glass. A flared bell bowl rests upon a balustroid stem featuring a cushion knop above an inverted baluster and basal knops all of which encapsulate air. The piece is supported by a folded conical foot with a rough pontil.
Historical Relevance
Hand-blown around the time King George I died on his way to Hanover in1727. His son, George, Prince of Wales, became King George II of Great Britain.
