Technical Description
A fine 18th century balustroid wine glass. It has a wide bell bowl with a solid base which rests upon a knopped stem containing a long air tear. Conical folded foot with a snapped pontil.
Historical Relevance
Hand-made around the time Grog was first issued to the Royal Navy in1740.
