Technical Description
A 19th-century pickle jar with its original ground hollow slice cut and engraved lid. The jar is also slice cut and engraved with vine leaves between deep flute cuts. Star cut base. A fantastic item that is just as practical today as it was in the 19th century.
Historical Relevance
Hand-blown around the time John Alexander Reina Newlands produced the first periodic table of elements in 1864.
