Technical Description
A superb pair of openwork lattice glass bowls which are a light iridescent mottled pink /red in colour. Probably Italian (possibly Salviati) from the early 20th century. Superb workmanship.
Historical Relevance
Handcrafted around the time Queen Victoria of the United Kingdom died at age 81 in 1901, after more than 63 years on the throne she was the longest reigning monarch of the United Kingdom at that time. She has since been surpassed by her great-great-granddaughter Elizabeth II on the 9th of September 2015.
