Technical Description
An early19th-century ale glass. A lipped conical bowl with slice cutting to the lower half. It sits on a long thin capstan stem with a conical foot which has a rough pontil.
An unusual form.
Historical Relevance
Hand-blown around the time of the official reopening of the White House in 1818 after the burning of Washington in 1814.
