Technical Description
A Mdina eared glass vase. The button rim and the subtlety of the ears is indicative of an early date of manufacture. The polished base is signed Mdina.
Historical Relevance
Hand-blown around the time Malta became a republic, Elizabeth II remained the Queen of Malta from when it gained independence, on the 21st September 1964 until the country became a republic, on the 13th December 1974.
