Technical Description
A rare 19th-century rummer glass with a large flared round funnel bowl. It has a well engraved shire horse pulling the plough guided by the farmer with the words 'Speed The Plough' around the bowl. The conical foot is finished with a polished pontil.
A superb example, of what I believe is a 'heavy plough' and one of the very few we have had in the last 20 years.
Historical Relevance
Hand-blown around the time Spain sold part of Florida to the US for $5 million on the 20th of October 1820.
