Technical Description
A large 19th-century glass serving rummer. It has a large bucket bowl engraved on one side with Hop and Barley and Fruiting Vine on the other. Large ball knop above a conical foot with a snapped pontil.
Your original party glass which sat in the middle of the table, filled with fruit punch, the contents of which are then transferred to the standard sized glass via a toddy lifter or ladle...simple and effective.
Historical Relevance
Hand-blown around the time the Aaron Manby (The first iron steamship to go to sea) was completed in April 1822.
