Technical Description 

An 18th century opaque twist wine glass with an ogee bowl engraved with thatched swags around the rim. Rests upon a single series opaque twist stem consisting of two pairs of spiral gauzes. Conical foot with snapped pontil.

Single series stems are also far rarer than double series within the opaque twist range.  

Historical Relevance 

Hand-blown around the time the first patent for a one-piece pencil with eraser was issued to American inventor J. Rechendorf of New York City.
