Technical Description
An 18th century air twist wine glass with a Trumpet bowl above a multi spiral air twist stem with a shoulder swelling knop. This is all supported by a high conical foot with a rough pontil.
The classic trumpet bowl is found within every 18th century drinking glass form and if you're a collector, you will be very familiar with the classic trumpet bowl multi spiral air twist wines of that era.
However, we are certainly less familiar with a trumpet bowl above a shoulder knopped multi spiral air twist.
This is a rare form indeed.
Historical Relevance
Hand-blown around the time of The French and Indian War from 1754 to 1763. Fought between the colonies of British America and those of New France.
