Technical Description
A Georgian double knop air twist wine glass. The round funnel bowl rests upon a multi-spiral air twist stem featuring shoulder and swelling knops. The piece is supported by a conical foot with a rough pontil. |Excellent example with superb hand-tooling throughout.
Historical Relevance
Hand-made around the time the wearing of the kilt was banned in Scotland by the Dress Act in 1746.
