Technical Description
A round funnel bowl engraved with bands of OXO engraving both above and below a band of engraved and polished floral decoration. The lower bowl is slice cut. A shoulder knop separates the bowl from the facet cut stem and the single terraced foot, all above a polished pontil.
Historical Relevance
The heavy lead glass and deep hue is indicative of its origin and period. Hand-blown around the time the name Australia replaced ‘New Holland’ as the country's official name and the release of the 6th edition of the Encyclopædia Britannica.
