The stopper has a few chips as shown, the decanter is in excellent condition, clean and clear.

Technical Description 

A 19th century cut glass decanter. Original cut mushroom stopper above 3 triple annulated applied neck rings. Slice cut shoulders above bands of diamond and prism cuts. Large polished pontil. Original collectors label on the base. You can find examples of this stopper and cutting styles within 'Irish Glass' by Phelps Warren

Historical Relevance 

Hand-blown around the time the Earl Grey succeeded the Duke of Wellington as Prime Minister in 1830.
